Being True To Yourself
February is a month when I start to see signs of hope that spring and summer are on their way. And what a month it's been!
In spite of the recent protests and blockades which have been a troubling sign of social fragmentation, I am convinced that there are a lot more of us who belong to the silent majority who long for reason, calm and peace.
Claiming Your Power
When we act in ways that bring hope and inspiration to others, we feel more vital and alive. This is a power that we each have within us. And maintaining a compassionate stance of curiosity, generosity and humility is the way we claim that power.
Standing in Your Light
Knowing that we are connected to one another and that we have a responsibility to look out for each other enables us to navigate our complex world with resilience and resourcefulness. And it allows us to bring light and healing to those in need. Knowing who we truly are and what we stand for grounds us. And it's that grounding that enables us to be true to ourselves.
Shining Your Light
We do our best work in and for community. As a species, we are nothing if not social animals. We draw strength from others and we are inspired to aim higher by those who raise our awareness for what is possible. It begins with just a drop that sends ripples across oceans to effect change on the other side of the planet.
Evolution of LUMINA
Living through the past two years of the pandemic has reminded me that we each have a wealth of inner resources to tap into. This was my impetus for evolving Thrive's LUMINA programme to focus on student leadership development. While Thrive will continue providing quality music education, our LUMINA leadership curriculum will be integrated into Thrive's holistic programming to help your child develop essential social-emotional leadership skills like resilience, gratitude, courage, mindfulness and critical thinking.
Through LUMINA Character and Social Projects, your child will be encouraged to bring the truest version of themselves into the world strengthened by a deep sense of belonging and knowing who they are.
LUMINA represents a bold new phase in Thrive's evolution and I am excited to be launching this initiative Fall 2022.
