The World Needs More You
As far back as I can remember, music has played a pivotal role in my life. I have memories of myself as a three year old singing my heart out into my journalist Dad’s microphone-recorder.
Losing My Way
Somehow as I grew older, I lost that sense of ease and freedom. I felt lost as I struggled to conform to what others thought I should be. This led to a very long stretch in my life when I felt that I had no voice. I felt powerless and hopeless, my self-esteem in shreds. When it finally came to an end, I was left to figure out how to rebuild my life. It wasn’t easy but as time passed and with each fear I confronted and overcame, I discovered that I was not only capable but also resilient and resourceful.
Finding My Way
When I decided that it was time for me to return to a life of music, I knew that I needed to carve out my own path. It was a path that was forged from the ashes of a hijacked life. But it was from those same ashes that Thrive came to be. And I resolved to redefine what music education can be.
The Birth of Thrive
Thrive grew out of my realisation that we draw strength from knowing that we are embraced by a community that supports us and accepts us for who we are and for the unique gifts we each bring into the world. For me, it was a natural and organic evolution to integrate leadership development into our music curriculum.
Our Mission: Opening Hearts and Minds. Transforming Lives. Changing the World.
Thrive families tell us that learning at Thrive is a transformative and empowering journey for both parent and child. Ultimately, Thrive is driven to help families like yours become the truest, most empowered version of yourselves through music.
Building a Better World
When we belong to ourselves, we are guided by a personal compass that helps us to find the power within. This is what allows us to bring out the best in others. This is how we build a better world. And THIS is why the world needs more you.
The Countdown Begins
Like us, you've probably shed tears of frustration, laughed and carried your loved ones through the unchartered terrain that has been the covid-19 pandemic. And now we’re getting ready to launch a remarkable year of music and leadership development at Thrive. I’m looking forward to having you join us.
