Happy Labour Day!

I hope that this Labour Day Monday finds you taking some time to catch your breath before the start of the new schoolyear.

Celebrating our students

If your summer was anything like mine, it went by far too quickly amidst a whirlwind of activity. One thing that I'm extremely excited to be launching at our studio this year is LUMINA - Thrive's student progression programme.

LUMINA

Our LUMINA programme acknowledges and celebrates each step of the journey that our LUMINARIES (Thrive students) take as they shine their unique light into the world. Upon the completion of each year, LUMINARIES receive a medallion to add to their programme carabiner, all designed in our vibrant Thrive colours. This is a symbol of their commitment to developing their musical skills through the year but also the cultivation of valuable lifeskills as a result of their continued effort. Things like resilience, critical thinking and creativity which are all built into our curriculum.

Empowered Parenting Workshops

We place such a high value on the commitment that our parent-coaches make to their children, that we start the year by focusing on empowering them. To kick things off this Saturday, we'll be conducting the first of our three Empowered Parenting Workshop days for the year. The line-up of topics includes a parent-friendly primer on developmental neuroscience to support your child's learning, strengthening your relationship with your child through connection and an exploration of how to help your child grow into a healthy, responsible individual through the lens of discipline. These workshops are open to all of our Collaborative Piano and Thrive Classic families. And we love knowing that our studio parents feel supported in their parenting journey with these opportunities to hone their parenting skills.

If you're thinking about starting your child in piano lessons, now's the time. We still have 2 places open in our transformative EXCITE Inspiration programme that children and their grown-ups adore. If you'd like to learn more about we're up to at Thrive, click here.

At the start of this new school year, I wish you hope, light and resilience to guide your way forward.
