How often have you heard your child say that something’s too hard and they want to give up?

Celebrating Messy Learning

At Thrive, we know that learning is messy and roadblocks are to be expected. This is why each of our Luminaries (students) is encouraged to take creative risks without worrying about perfection. And we see them emboldened to be more of themselves when they’re not crippled by fear of judgement or perfectionism. The result is classes that are filled with joy, excitement and TONNES of dynamic energy. The music that we hear from our Luminaries is filled with so much heart because they know that they’re in a safe space that values their contribution.

Finding Strength in Vulnerability

When our Luminaries share their music with their peers and others, there’s a bit of nervousness as they put themselves on the line. The overwhelmingly positive feedback they receive is the kind of support that builds in each child the deep belief that their unique gifts deserve to be brought into the world. This is what encourages them to develop their own voice to speak up and speak out when needed. It’s a beautiful sight to behold as our Luminaries step into more of their own power. This is how we change the world through music.

I hope that you too find strength and beauty in vulnerability and in the messiness of life.
